Emotional Support Dog Training – Part time (children)
September 15 - September 30
This course is for people who would like to train their dogs to provide them or a loved one with emotional support. It is ideally suited to parents and younger children. The part-time therapeutic program runs for three days in the first week, plus two additional separate days. Days 1-3 are designed for parents or carers alone, whilst days four and five are short days where participants with a disability will also attend.
Based on the philosophies of Therapeutic Dog Training, this unique therapeutic program is part group therapy and part dog training. Participants are supported by mental health clinicians and professional dog trainers to develop strong and healthy relationships with their dogs. For those individuals who have a diagnosed disability, our team will support you and your dog to develop the healthy habits that will provide you with the emotional support you need.
